The responsibilities of a Leasing Consultant are to show the property and generate leases to qualified prospects. He/she is also responsible to assist the Assistant Manager in his/her daily duties.
The leasing consultant must present him/herself in a businesslike manner and is responsible to see that the leasing area and show units are clean and "welcoming" to prospects at all times.
-Take phone calls from prospects and make appointments.
-Greet prospects and have them complete guest cards.
-Qualify prospect on type, size, price and amenities available.
-Obtain picture I.D. before showing prospect a unit or model.
-Sell the prospect on the merits of the property.
-Use closing techniques to get the lease
-Follow up with phone calls, emails, and internet leads.
-Assure that application is completely filled out and present to verifying agent.
-Present application to Apartment Manager for approval/denial.
-Notify prospect of acceptance or denial of application.
-Complete all paperwork and prepare lease packet for move-ins.
-Prepare maintenance requests for residents.
-Perform any other duties as directed by Management
Education, training, experience:
-Minimum of 6 months on-site Leasing Consultant experience on 300 plus units or 1 year customer service experience.
-General computer experience with Bluemoon, E-site, Email, Excel, and Word
-Required valid Texas Driver's License.
-Ability to pass a full background check (credit/criminal/DMV)
-Neat and professional personal appearance.
-Good communication skills.
-Ability to relate to people.
-The ability to work well under pressure.
-Good organizational skills.
